Tania Samsonova

Tania Samsonova is a translator and a technical writer, a member of Literary Translators Association of Canada and of American Literary Translators Association. She has published over 20 book translations (Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood, to name just one) into Russian. She had worked in software development for 15 years and gained valuable experience that enables her to translate and write tecnhical documentation related to IT and computer engineering. Tania has been providing technology-related tax credit consulting and writing technical reports for tax credit purposes (SR&ED and OIDMTC programs, in cooperation with SRED Unlimited) for 5 years. She holds an Honours degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Moscow State University, an MCAD certification, and several certificates from Canadian universities: one in Business and Technical Writing from York University, and two from University of Toronto SCS (in Financial Management and in Enterprise Risk Management). She has just finished the translation of The Cornish Trilogy by Robertson Davies, an iconic Canadian author, and is currently working on the Russian translation of Someone Comes to Town... by Cory Doctorow (under Creative Commons license).
